New Delhi: The check-in facility on the airport metro line will only be made available for domestic passengers when the system starts from May 1. International passengers would be able to avail of the facility only at least a month later. However, one would need to check in a minimum of 2.5 hours before departure of the flight.
Baggage check-in will take place at the New Delhi Railway Station and Shivaji Stadium station while passengers without baggage would be allowed to check-in at the Dhaula Kuan station as well. According to the initial operation plan, check-in would start 12 hours before the estimated time of departure (ETD).
Airport officials said that the three full cost domestic carriers - Air India, Jet Airways and Kingfisher - that are carrying out trial runs at present, will offer check-in services to their passengers initially.
