Fly & offer puja at Deoghar

Ranchi: Good news for devotees visiting Baidaynath Dham, Rikhia Ashram and Satsang Ashram in Deoghar district!
In the days to come, the faithfuls can fly down to Deoghar from any part of the world as the state government with the help of the Centre is going to build an airport with an estimated cost of around `300 crore in the district.
Every year, around 70 lakh visitors from India and 40 foreign countries visit the three places in Deoghar district. Maximum devotees are attracted to Baidyanath Dham followed by Rikhia Ashram and Satsang Ashram. Most of the tourists, especially from foreign countries, face hardship in reaching the place in absence of air connectivity. The tourists come via Kolkata which is around 375 kilometers from Deoghar. Currently, Deoghar has a small airfield which can handle helicopters and small aircraft only.
Chief minister Arjun Munda said the plan had been approved by the Centre and the construction of an airport would help bring Deoghar in the map of religious tourists circuit.
