Mumbai: The textiles-to-property conglomerate Wadia group will appoint an expat CEO to spearhead the revamp of the budget carrier GoAir soon after its chairman Nusli Wadia swapped the roles of sons - Ness and Jeh Wadia - seeking to provide sharper focus to flagship Bombay Dyeing and commodities' firm Bombay Burmah .

"We have appointed a CEO and we will disclose the name and other details within a month's time," said GoAir MD Jeh Wadia. "The current CEO is a group resource and he will head back to assist in other businesses in the group." The new CEO will report to Jeh Wadia. The group's board and its chairman have approved the appointment of the new CEO.
The top management reshuffle coincides with an aggressive expansion plan, aiming to achieve a pan-India presence by adding more aircraft.
"We will be very aggressive in our growth strategy and will aim for a strong pan-India presence. This will be backed by massive recruitment and fleet expansion," he said. GoAir has a fleet of 10 aircraft and it has announced advancing some of its orders which are due for delivery over the next couple of years.
