Have reached compromise formula for Air India pilots: Govt

There may be some breakthrough after eight days of the Air India strike. Civil Aviation Minister Vyalar Ravi today said that Air India management may look at reinstating pilots, reports CNBC-TV18’s Mehak Kasbekar.
This looks like that the Air India management is softening and willing to reinstate pilots. However, all the proceedings will take upto two weeks which definitely is not taken with a pinch of salt by the striking pilots.
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court which has been hearing this case since last Monday has issued contempt of court notices to nine Indian Commercial Pilots' Association (ICPA) executives. ICPA has to reply to the notices by May 24 and the hearing is on the following day. However, Ravi has categorically said that the ball is now in the ICPA’s court.
