Ahmedabad: Anuradha Bhaumick's six-month-long lost and found drama has left her confused- should she be glad to find her missing bags or file a case against the airline for her trouble?
Bhaumick, 19, landed at Ahmedabad airport from Mumbai on January 2 this year and found that one of her suitcases, which had her laptop, was missing. Bhaumick was traveling from Bangkok to Ahmedabad via Mumbai to meet her family friends. She had taken Kingfisher Airlines flight IT 204 to Mumbai and Air India flight AI 603 to Ahmedabad.
Since then, Bhaumick has been calling and mailing Air India officials to no avail.
On June 6, she got a call from Debjyoti Das, a friend, who had received an email from Kingfisher Airlines about an unclaimed pink laptop. Kingfisher had found Das' email address in one of the chat messengers on Bhaumick's laptop. TOI has a copy of the email that Veena Bhatia, of the Kingfisher Airlines administration and security services department, to Das on June 1.
Bhaumick contacted the airline officials who sent her baggage to Ahmedabad on June 7. However when she got her laptop, she found all her personal data, including documents, videos and music files, was deleted.
