Estonian seeks consulate help to get back wife`s body

Ahmedabad: For Estonian citizen Tarvi Uusen, the world came crashing down when his wife Terje, 42, succumbed to cardiac arrest, in mid-air in a Spice Jet flight. Tarvi, owing to visa issues, cannot come to India to collect wife`s body from Apollo Hospital`s morgue here and is taking help of Estonian Consulate in India and Union ministry of external affairs.
The SpiceJet flight SG 258 on way to Delhi from Goa was diverted to the Ahmedabad airport after Terje fainted due to cardiac arrest, midair on late Friday evening. She was rushed to Apollo Hospital here and declared brought dead.
Tarvi said that Terje, who worked with a hotel at Calangute beach in Goa, was traveling back home and was to take a one-stop flight to Estonia from Delhi.
Meanwhile, the incident has sent ripples across the airport establishment as the airport officials have been pushed to a corner after Apollo Hospital doctors alleged that despite being stationed at the airport they were not officially alerted about the incident.
