Fliers fume as AI plane lands sans luggage

Kolkata: Passengers who arrived at Kolkata airport on an Air India Express flight from Singapore were shocked to find most of the check-in baggage had been left behind. Altogether, 81 bags were missing.
Airline officials said efforts were on to get the baggage delivered on Monday.
The packed flight had taken off from Singapore three hours late on Saturday even-ing. After landing at 2am on Sunday, 140 fliers headed for the immigration counter while the plane took off for Dhaka with the other 40 passengers.
After the fliers queued up near the conveyor belt, some of the registered luggage arri- ved in half an hour. But when no more turned up after nearly an hour, they protested.
