Hyderabad: The new Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower at Delhi International Airport will be delayed by one year and it will now be commissioned by November 2013, according to GMR Group which manages the airport.
"At present DIAL is finalising the tender documents for the construction of the tower. The works are to be awarded by end June 2011. The timeline of November 2012 for the construction of ATC tower is not possible. As per the overall schedule, the ATC tower including installation and commissioning of equipment is to be completed by November 2013," DIAL told Airports Economic Regulatory Authority in reply to the consultation paper on the review of levy of development fee at the airport.
