Bird hit grounds A'bad-Delhi flight at city airport

Ahmedabad : A Delhi-Ahmedabad JetLite 0123 flight was grounded at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport after it was hit by a bird while landing on Friday evening.
The incident took place at around 9 pm when the flight was landing at the airport. The same flight takes passengers to Delhi from Ahmedabad, but was cancelled due to minor damages to the aircraft. "Technicians saw the damage in the aircraft during a routine inspection after the flight had landed. We immediately informed the air traffic control officials that a bird had possibly hit the aircraft and the flight would have to be grounded in Ahmedabad for a night due to minor damages," said a JetLite official.
