'Flying worse than riding a bus'

Ludhiana: With no terminal and aero bridge to reach the flight, travellers at the Sahnewal airport are forced to brave the sun, rain and other weather extremities. All in all the experience is worse than getting a ride from the local bus stand.
Managing director of GS Radiators Ranjodh Singh ' who took the flight on May 17 and has since then visited often to receive clients coming to his unit ' recounted his unpleasant experiences. ''There is hardly any facility in the Sahnewal airport for passengers and visitors too face a lot of difficulties. This was a flying club that was converted into an airport but it does not have the required facilities. The idea of making an airport for the 'Manchester of India' is good but it needs to be taken seriously and upgraded,'' he said.
