Aviation minister sets up 7-member panel

New Delhi: Civil aviation minister Vyalar Ravi has set up a seven-member committee to look into Sunday morning's power failure at the IGI Airport. The committee has been asked to examine the reason behind the extended power cut and the failure of the backup systems to kick in at the right time. It has also been asked to suggest if more standard operating procedures are required at the airport to deal with similar contingencies and what steps could be taken to prevent such situations in the future.
