Nagpur airport: Abandoned plane poses threat to passenger safety

Nagpur: An abandoned plane in the middle of a runway of Nagpur's Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar International Airport has become a major threat to the flights taking off and landing here everyday.
Headlines Today got exclusive pictures of the plane that has been lying on the runway for about two decades. Shockingly, the airport authorities expressed their inability to move the plane of Continental Airlines to a safer location.
The plane has been abandoned at the airport due to a case pending in the high court. It poses a major threat to hundreds of flights coming and going out of the airport everyday.
Senior airport director Vinod Kumar Yadav said, "There should not be any object in the radius of 75 metre of the runway strip. But this dead aircraft has been lying here. We also want it to be removed."
Yadav however accepted the airport authorities' inability to do anything in this regard.
