Gulf Air flight crew returns to Bahrain

Kochi: Gulf Air officials say they are yet to receive a report on the investigations into skidding off of their aircraft at Kochi airport on Monday from the directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA).
"We have been told by the DGCA officials that the probe report would be ready only after a week. We will take any action against the crew, if required, only after receiving the enquiry report. We cannot comment on media reports that pilot's error had caused the mishap, unless we get an official assessment from Indian authorities. The repair work of the aircraft will also begin after the completion of the preliminary investigations," Karunakaran Srinivasan, manager communications of the airlines, told TOI here over phone from the Gulf Air headquarters in Bahrain.
He said the pilots and crew involved in the incident on Gulf Air flight GF 270 have returned to Bahrain on Thursday morning after preliminary interviews with the head of the investigation committee appointed by the DGCA, Government of India. As per standard industry practice, we have de-rostered the pilots pending the outcome of the official investigation.
