Saudi Arabian Airlines cancelled a Riyadh-bound passenger flight on 4th September 2011, after its pilot complained of food poisoning.
Around 260 passengers and six crew members were scheduled to depart from the Indian city of Lucknow on Flight SV-879 when the incident occurred.
However, an hour before departure, pilot Al-Bani-Tariq was taken to a private hospital due to a suspected case of food poisoning, according to The Times of India. His condition was reported as stable. The flight was subsequently cancelled and rescheduled for the following day.
