119 project affected families shifted from Airport land

The drive from the Western Express Highway to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport will soon be much speedier as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is receiving cooperation from the project affected families and have begun to shift to the resettlement sites in Kurla and Oshiwara. The MMRDA has successfully shifted 119 project affected families from Rajaramwadi – 52 to Kurla Premier Compound and 67 to Oshiwara resettlement colony.
“Our persistent meetings and consultations with the families have gained us this result. We must also give credit to the families who identified with the significance of the project and cooperated by shifting to the resettlement sites”, said Ms.Ashwini Bhide, Additional Commissioner, MMRDA.
