Dubai: Jet Airways, one of India’s fastest-growing private carriers, announced on Wednesday that it would boost capacity on the UAE-India sector by commencing daily flights from Sharjah to Thiruvananthapuram from October 30.
The airline, which operates one of the youngest fleets, currently operates a daily flight from Sharjah to Kochi and the addition of another daily service will further enhance its growing global network, Ratan Ratnakar, vice president, Market Development and Pricing, Gulf and Middle East Africa, said.
This will be the 10th daily service from the UAE to India and the 22nd Jet Airways flight from the Gulf to India.
The flight 9W 569 will depart Sharjah at 1340, arriving in Thiruvananthapuram at 1900 and flight 9W 570 will depart Thiruvananthapuram at 1015 and arrive in Sharjah at 1240, all local times.
The airline will deploy Boeing 737-800 aircraft on this new route, offering 16 premiere and 138 economy seats.
Jet Airways currently operates to 24 International destinations. With this additional flight between Sharjah and India, business customers of Jet Airways would be able to enjoy a wide choice of timings throughout the day between the UAE and India. The flights are conveniently timed to connect with Jet Airways’ domestic network and its fast-growing network to Saarc/Asean points.
