Flyers left high and dry sans luggage at airport

Patna: Over 20 Air India flyers got anxious at the city airport on Friday when they discovered that AI had left their luggage at the Delhi airport itself. Most of these flyers were coming from Dubai on holiday on the occasion of Bakrid.
The flight, which is scheduled to arrive here at 8.05am, arrived around two hours late due to delay in take-off from the Delhi airport due to fog.
Md Sadiq from Patna City, who works with a private establishment in Dubai, told TOI that he was carrying three luggage bags apart from some other luggage which carried gift items.
"It is ridiculous to go home without anything for children, especially when you are going home after a long period of time," Sadiq, who has come to celebrate Bakrid with family members, said.
Same was the situation with Nikhat Saba, a schoolteacher in Dubai. "AI has knowingly left our luggage back. There are a huge number of flyers on Delhi-Patna-Delhi route. The airline must have left out luggage at the Delhi airport to accommodate more flyers," alleged another flyer.
When the flyers started creating ruckus and demanded compensation for the delay, AI authorities offered them refreshment for free.
All the suffering flyers accused AI of poor cargo management service. It was only after promise of ferrying back the luggage by its afternoon flight that the situation calmed down.
