Muscat: About 90 passengers headed to the south Indian state of Kerala on Air India (A-I) Express Flight IX350 were stranded at the Muscat International Airport for around eight hours and shifted to a nearby hotel in the evening, yesterday.
The Air India (A-I) Express flight IX350 to Kozhikode, the northern city of Kerala, was cancelled — reportedly without any prior notice to the passengers.
The flight, which was scheduled to take off for Kozhikode at 1:50pm yesterday, was cancelled by the airline earlier on October 25 and was reinstated on October 27.
“We received an e-mail message mentioning about the reinstating of the flight. Accordingly, we reached the airport at around 9am yesterday. We found the airline’s office closed and there were no officials. Later, we saw the flight cancellation message scrolling on the flight information display board,” Sasi, stranded, a passenger, told Times of Oman.
