Patna-bound Kingfisher flight makes emergency landing

Lucknow: A Patna-bound Kingfisher flight from Delhi, with 117 passengers and six crew members on board, made an emergency landing at the Amausi airport on Friday.
According to reports, the pilot of the Kingfisher flight IT-3341, raised an alarm after he found that the rear portion of the aircraft was shaking abnormally.
Air Traffic Control sources in Lucknow airport said that the signals were received at around 2.42 pm after which a high alert was sounded and the five cordon security was put in place. Airport officials said fire brigade and a team of health officials were sounded about the emergency landing.
"At around 2.50 pm, the aircraft landed at the airport safely," a senior airport official said. Passengers said that they were not aware as to what was happening at that point of time.
"We were told that the aircraft was unstable," an official in the ATC said.
