Work on new airport building in Vadodara to begin soon

Vadodara: The contract to construct the new airport building in the city has been awarded to Messers Kashyap & Sons, said Vayalar Ravi Union Civil Aviation Minister, in a letter to Vadodara MP Balkrishna Shukla who had taken up the issue of delay in the construction of the new building with the minister. In his communication to Ravi, Shukla had said that the then Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel had laid the foundation stone of the new terminal building in February 2009 promising the construction work would be completed within 18 months. "Since then 33 months passed and the project remained where it stood in February 2009," Shukla said.
