Jharsuguda to be Second full fledged airport in Odisha after Bhubaneswar

Jharsuguda: Chief Secretary BK Patnaik said that Odisha Government has decided to develop the State’s oldest airstrip at Jharsuguda, in this process the Jharsuguda district administration to undertake land acquisition process for the required 40 acres for construction of a runway for the Jharsuguda airstrip.
In Jharsuguda, state’s next largest full-fledged airport will be in ongoing process under the Airport Authority of India (AAI).It will be the second one after Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Chief Secretary said that the 40 acres of land would help construct a 6,000-feet-long runway.
