New Delhi: Cash-strapped Air India demanded money from ailing Kingfisher airlines after it agreed to transfer the passengers of under the transfer-of-passengers agreement.
Till now Kingfisher airlines used to pay Air India on credit basis for ferrying the passengers who were left in a lurch following the cancellation of Kingfisher flights.
According to the source, Kingfisher airlines could face heavy criticism from public, if it failed to pay back Air India, because, it was the government carrier which ferried a majority of Kingfisher passengers, said a report in the MiD DAY.
