No more good times for Kingfisher?

Sources on Saturday said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken cognisance on the issue and has ordered probe to look into any violations by the airlines. Sources have also added that the DGCA has asked for a full report on the matter by this evening.
Kingfisher did not inform the DGCA about the cancelation of flights, which is violation of air traffic norms. DGCA sources today said according to the report submitted by the end of the day strict action will be taken against the airline, which could also mean the possible termination of Kingfisher’s license.
Earlier in the day a statement issue by Kingfisher stated that flights were grounded due to untoward incidents involving bird hits. The statement also added that flight cancelations are expected to continue for the next few days, but that does not mean that the airline is shutting down operations, nor does it plan to do so.
