State yet to clear Pawan Hans dues

Ranchi: Pawan Hans Helicopter Ltd, which provided chopper to former chief minister Shibu Soren, is running from pillar to post for settlement of its bills for the past two years.
Sources in Pawan Hans, a central public sector undertaking, said the state government had hired a helicopter when Soren was the chief minister in 2009-10. The total bill raised for flying Soren and VIPs to different places in Jharkhand is around Rs 1.4 crore.
"At that time, we never imagined that the government will hold the payment of a public-sector undertaking. For over two years, we have been running from pillar to post to get our dues settled but other than assurance we have got nothing," said a source.
Officials in the civil aviation department admitted that executives from Pawan Hans are approaching for payment.
