3‚000 lts aviation fuel stolen

Biratnagar: As much as 3,000 litres of aviation fuel brought by Biratnagar Aviation Depot of Nepal Oil Corporations from Silguri, India, has disappeared, thanks to connivance between depot chief Basu Bhandari and transporters.
Biratnagar Oil Corporation said a tanker (3114) ferrying 20,000 litres of aviation fuel from Silguri-based Indian Oil Corporation had headed for Biranagar depot of NOC. But, 3,000 litres had disappeared when the tanker arrived at the
Biratnagar aviation depot chief Basu Bhandari said 606 litres of aviation fuel was lost. Central office of Nepal Oil Corporations has begun the investigation into the incident. Bhandari is the senior brother of Morang Business Union secretary Shyam Bhandari.
NOC claims that Basu Bhandari was the man behind the fuel loss.
