Chennai: A woman passenger leaving the domestic terminal had a close shave Tuesday as a steel load came crashing down after the pulley of a crane snapped at the Chennai airport.
Eyewitnesses said the passenger was only a few metres from the accident site.
Airport director E.P. Hareendranathan, however, said the steel load fell in a segregated area where workers were trying to place a structure on a connecting bridge tube.
