Hyderabad: India Aviation 2012, the international exhibition and conference on civil aviation, will have no aerobatics show this time in view of an Indian Navy plane crash in the 2010 edition.
The ministry of civil aviation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the organisers, have decided not to have aerobatic display as part of the five-day event beginning here March 14.
Lt. Col. Vivek Kodikal, regional director (trade fairs), FICCI, told reporters here Saturday that the decision was not because of the incident of March 4, 2010 at Begumpet airport in the city.
He pointed out that aerobatics in India are performed only by the navy and the air force. Permission is not given to civil aircraft for the aerobatics.
