India’s Aviotech Pvt Ltd will buy ten Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. A preliminary agreement on that was signed last year, the president of the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk, told reporters at India Aviation 2012 in Hyderabad on Thursday.
All in all, the company expects to sell up to 100 aircraft to India, he said. India is one of our priority markets, the IANS news service quoted Prisyazhnyuk as saying. Apart from Sukhoi Superjet 100, over 20 aircraft are on display at the exhibition show, including Boeing 787 (Dreamliner), which is displayed for the first time.
All in all, about 250 companies from 18 countries take part in the biggest local exhibition of civil aviation. These companies include such giants as Embraer, Dassault and Airbus.
This year, Russia’s aircraft building company Irkut participates in the exhibition for the first time. It has presented a full-size mock-up model of the cockpit and compartment of the new airliner MS-21 designed by the company. By 2020 it will replace Tu-154 and Tu-204 planes on the Russian market of passenger planes.
