Coimbatore: It is a rare opportunity for visitors to understand the science behind aeronautics while getting an insight into the aviation industry.
Aero modelling shows, model airport, cock pit instrument, paragliding show, aviation photo gallery and aircraft engineering are the main attractions at the fourth edition of Aeroplus Expo, organised by Nehru College of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences here, from March 1 to 4.
Inaugurating the event, chief guest Jayanthi Rajesh, DPD, Integration AIT, Megha- Tropiques and Human Space Programme, said that Coimbatore was becoming a hub of aeronautical science in Tamil Nadu.
On the Indian satellite programme and the process in integration of satellite components, she said India had come a long way in the field and students should tap the potential in the industry.
A.M. Palanisamy, chairman, Aerospace Material Private Limited, Pollachi, said that students should venture into the areas of material research and development, which would enable India to be one of the best in the field.
