Lucknow airport terminal launch in early April

Lucknow The new integrated passenger terminal building at Chaudhary Charan Singh (Amausi) Airport in Lucknow is likely to be inaugurated in the first week of April.
Its opening, which was earlier scheduled for November 19 last year, was delayed as the Government of India could not decide on the ‘VVIP’ to inaugurate the terminal. Then, the model code of conduct for the Assembly elections came into effect from December 24.
Sources said the opening is scheduled for April first week as Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh, who will inaugurate the new terminal, is attending the ongoing session of Parliament till March 30.
Airport director Atul Dixit confirmed: “The inauguration is expected in April first week, the final date of programme has yet to be received.”
A Rashtriya Lok Dal leader said, “A list of certain party leaders will be sent to the airport authorities seeking permission for their entry to the terminal building during inauguration.”
