No info on Patel's letter seeking probe in change of AI plane

New Delhi: The Civil Aviation Ministry has said that they have "no information" about any letter written by its former Minister Praful Patel to incumbent Ajit Singh for a "thorough probe" into the allegation of change of Air India aircraft to accommodate his family members on a trip to Maldives in 2010.
Soon after Air India made public the list of passengers, which included Patel's relatives, of the flights board IC-965 (April 25, 2010) for Bangalore-Male and IC-966 from Male to Bangalore (April 28, 2010), Patel had reportedly written a letter to Singh seeking a probe in the entire incident.
In a latest RTI reply to activist Subhash Agrawal who sought to know whether Patel had written any such letter and also demanded a copy of it, Ministry of Civil Aviation said "no information is available."
The case relates to reports that the national carrier had deployed larger aircraft to purportedly accommodate the family of the then Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel on their trip to Bangalore-Maldives in April, 2010.
