200 Kingfisher Airlines engineers skip work

Mumbai: Cash-strapped private carrier Kingfisher Airlines faced more troubles on Saturday as around 200 engineers skipped work over non-payment of December salaries.
According to Kingfisher officials, the absence of the engineers have not affected the flight service so far.
The fresh trouble emerged days after the private carrier announced that it had started to import aviation fuel to bring down its oil bills.
“Kingfisher Airlines has received authorisation from the Director General of Foreign Trade for the import of aviation turbine fuel on 11th April, 2012 and we are taking active steps to initiate the process of ATF import," the company said in a statement.
