DGCA on hunt for international service provider

Chennai: The DGCA’s ambitious e-governance project has been progressing well and it is on the look out for an international service provider to act as the tender, said Director General of Civil Aviation EK Bharat Bhushan.
Elaborating on the need for the massive `200 crore project, Bhushan said, “We have hundreds of approvals that we handle and all the departments are disconnected. We have always needed a system to integrate a process so that anyone who needs to achieve something can do so without confusion.”For now, the project has been designed and is awaiting some provider to be picked. “Once it is active, everything from getting a licence to accreditation for a pilot can be done online without too much trouble,” he said.
