New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday asked the Centre to file a report detailing actions taken to address the grievances of Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) which is seeking parity with the pilots of Air India.
"File a report on implementation of Justice Dharmadhikari Committee findings in the matter," Justice Suresh Kait said and fixed the matter for further hearing on May 1.
ICPA, a body of pilots associated with erstwhile domestic service provider Indian Airlines, has moved the High Court alleging it has not been dealt with "at par" with Indian Pilots Guild (IPG), an association of pilots of Air India.
Air India, which operates flights to offshore destinations and India Airlines were merged into one entity in 2007.
During the hearing, the counsel for ICPA said he was not challenging the merger of two PSU carriers.
"The main grievance of ICPA is that the Commanders (head pilot) of basic aircrafts of former Indian Airlines have not been considered by Air India management for training of commander of advanced aircrafts.
