Mock Drill at Mangalore Airport - Emergency Services in Top Shape

Mangalore: Mangalore Airport on Friday April 20 was bustling with activity, and for a moment, it seems like an emergency had been issued. There were fire personnel all over the place, ambulances on alert and stretchers being carried here and there.
It was not an emergency situation, but the last of the safety week when a mock drill is conducted every year.
The mock drill was organized to test the efficiency of the fire and other emergency services, and to ensure that they are equipped and ready to tackle any situation if and when it arises.
Speaking to Daijiworld, Airport director M R Vasudeva said that the mock drill was a part of the annual safety week observance, beginning from April 14. The airport conducts complete exercise of the fire services to ensure their efficiency, he said, adding that the aim was also to make the general public aware.
