AAI studying report on hiving off Air Navigation Services: Ajit Singh

New Delhi: Airports Authority of India (AAI) is examining the recommendation of a study to hive off Air Navigation Services (ANS) to focus on these crucial operations in the face of burgeoning air traffic in the country.
AAI had undertaken a detailed study of the process of hiving off the ANS entity through experts, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh informed the Rajya Sabha during Question Hour.
"Various alternatives suggested by the study so far are being examined in the Board of AAI," he said.
The issue of separating Air Traffic Control (ATC) services from aerodrome operator had been pending before the government for a long time.
