Air India tweaked ad to favour COO hopeful?

Mumbai: An airline seeking highly-qualified pilots is hardly unusual, except when the post advertised for is that of a Chief Operating Officer (COO). Air India (AI) is looking for a COO and the only qualifications sought are that the candidate should be a pilot above 50 years of age, have an impeccable safety record and 5,000 hours of flying experience as a commander.
Earlier, in an advertisement placed in October last year, AI had invited applications from professionals who had executed turnaround plans and were professionally qualified to hold a COO's post. There was no development on the recruitment front for six months till recently when AI amended the eligibility criteria leaving the post open only for pilots. AI's latest advertisement said the eligibility criteria advertised in October 2011 has been amended.
