Panaji: With the Cortalim byelection fast approaching, the Congress party has demanded that the BJP government take a decision on the medium of instruction (MoI) issue and clarify its stand on Mopa airport and regional plan controversies before the elections.
Speaking to media persons on Monday, Congress spokesperson Jitendra Deshprabhu said that although the Regional plan 2021 presented by the Congress party needed some corrections, the BJP intention to denotify the same will benefit the land sharks.
"In reality this decision will benefit the land sharks because BJP will go back to the Regional Plan 2001," said Deshprabhu, adding that with this move the government would be breaking the promise made to the people during the recent assembly election.
