New Delhi: The Indian Pilots Guild on Wednesday alleged that the Air India management was responsible for financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 4,324 crore.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tauseef Mukaddam, IPG spokesman said that underutilisation of aircraft was due to lack of planning.
He expressed bafflement as to why the government was not talking to the striking pilots for the last 16 days.
The pilots, under the banner of Indian Pilots Guild (IPG), are agitating over the rescheduling of Boeing 787 Dreamliner training and matters relating to their career progression.
Mukaddam said that the management deployed aircraft on loss making routes and introduced routes before doing market research.
