Majority of stranded A-I passengers fly back

Muscat: Majority of the Air India (A-I) passengers who were stranded in Muscat due to the sudden strike by A-I pilots have left for their destinations after alternative arrangements were made for them, a senior official from the airline said.
The airline had cancelled two flights (Muscat-Thiruvananthapuram and Muscat-Sharjah-Calicut) on Tuesday and one flight (Muscat-Sharjah-Calicut) yesterday. "All the stranded passengers were accommodated in two hotels in Muscat.
Though 20 passengers out of 200 still remain in Muscat, others have already reached their destinations. We have made arrangements for the remaining travellers and they will be flown back to their destinations tonight,- the airline's senior official said.
