Passengers will have to slump up more for using Delhi airport

New Delhi: From May 15 onwards, passengers departing or arriving at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here will have to shell out more, with the introduction of a User Development Fee (UDF), making Delhi as one of the most expensive airports in the world.
Airlines will also have to slump up more for landing, parking, navigation, fuel throughput and the usage of the common user terminals. This increase is likely to jack up passenger fares.
Any international passenger departing from the airport and travelling over 5,000 km will have to pay Rs.1,068 as user development fee. In the case of an arriving passenger, it will be Rs.881.10. For travelling 2,000-5,000 km, a departing passenger will have to pay Rs. 845.50 and an arriving passenger Rs. 699.17.
