Rajahmundry airport terminal operational

Rajahmundry: The new terminal at Madhurapudi airport here has become functional after a delay of five months. The construction of the terminal was completed five months ago but the inauguration was put off waiting for the Chief Minister. Due to unavoidable circumstances, according to the airport officials, the programme got delayed and finally on Wednesday evening the terminal was inaugurated.
The new control tower, terminal building and other buildings were constructed at a cost of Rs. 38 crores. The airport authorities shifted the equipment from the old terminal to the new one. According to Mr. Dhananjaya Rao, the airport director, the construction was done to the best technical specifications.
