15 KF pilots from Delhi strike in city

Mumbai: Around 15 pilots from Kingfisher Airlines went on strike on Friday and protested outside the airline’s office in Mumbai against non-payment of salaries. However, the strike did not affect any Kingfisher flight from Mumbai.
The protesting pilots were from New Delhi. A Kingfisher official confirmed the development. “Fifteen pilots from Delhi went on strike. It is the same old complaint about non-payment of salaries, which the management is not serious about addressing,” said the official.
Despite repeated phone calls and text messages, Kingfisher Airline’s spokesperson Prakash Mirpuri could not be reached for comments.
This is the second strike after the massive agitation on May 10, when several pilots struck work on the same issue. The airline has already reduced its operations from 365 flights everyday to around 100, owing to the mounting financial losses.
