IAF chopper with CRPF men makes emergency landing

Daltonganj: An Air Force chopper, which took off from the Chiyanki airstrip for Mandal in Barwadeeh, made an emergency landing here on Monday afternoon after developing a technical snag.
DIG CRPF B K Sharma said the chopper was carrying CRPF personnel including the commandant of the 112 Battalion.
"All the 12 occupants in the chopper including the crew members are safe," said Palamu SP A T Mathew.
The Air Force chopper had come to Chiyanki on Monday from Ranchi. It was to go to Mandal.
Sources said the scheduled flight of the chopper was Ranchi-Daltonganj (Chiyanki)-Mandal-Daltonganj-Ranchi. It got aborted mid way because of technical snag. The chopper returned to Chiyanki because of better landing facility compared to Mandal.
