New Delhi: Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi organized an interactive session on 'Review of Aviation Industry' in the Campus. The session was addressed by Mr. Anup Shrivastava, Director (Personnel), Air India. The interaction was very energetic and many traditional and modern dimensions of Aviation Industry were discussed during the same. The discussion also focused on 'Transformations taken place in Aviation industry, Airlines operations, effect of economic change-down on aviation industry, etc. The faculty members were highly benefited from the vast knowledge of the speaker.
Mr. Anup Srivastava, Director (Personnel), Air India, said, "In the Indian context, the review of Aviation industry is a long-run and knowledgeable process as there has been huge transformations from 70s to 90s, with the entry of private players, emergence of low cost airlines and then with the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines."
Dr. D. K. Batra, Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, said, "Major changes have taken place in the Aviation industry, especially in the Indian context, we as a management institution need to have knowledge of all these dimensions, so that it could be used as Case-Study for teaching to our students."
