Mumbai: The Juhu airport can soon become safer as the state is making provisions for providing accommodation to the 174 sanctioned Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and their families. This could be given around the city, preferably in the extended suburbs of Navi Mumbai.
The CISF had not taken up the security at the Juhu airport, in spite of it being sanctioned last year by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), citing the Intelligence Bureau (IB) input that small aircrafts could be used for launching terror attacks in the city.
