Kannur airport project to be put on fast-track

The Kannur international airport in Kerala is one big step closer to fruition with the Prime Minister himself including it in the list of three projects to be fast-tracked.
The Kannur airport project got mention along with Navi Mumbai and Goa in a meeting the Prime Minister held with the infrastructure ministries yesterday.
Scheduled to be completed in 2015, Kannur would become the fourth international airport in Kerala. Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode are the existing airports.
