MIAL drags KFA to court over cheque dishonour

The difficulties of cash-strapped Kingfisher Airlines are increasing with each passing day with the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) now dragging the airline to court for dishonouring cheques issued by them amounting to Rs30 crore.
Both MIAL and Kingfisher Airlines officials declined to comment on the issue.
A similar case was filed earlier this month by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) against the airline for the dishonouring of cheques amounting to Rs3 crore.
Apart from these two cases, five cheques of about Rs121 crore issued by Kingfisher Airlines to the Airport Authority of India (AAI) bounced over a period of time earlier this year, for which the Indian government is seeking legal action against the airline.
