Radar shutdown delays flights in Kolkata

Kolkata: As many as 10 afternoon flights in and out of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose airport were delayed by 15-20 minutes on Tuesday following the shutdown of radar for maintenance.
Though the shutdown was planned and notices had been issued to carriers in advance, the delays were inevitable as separation or distance between aircraft was increased to ensure safety.
