Mumbai: Two IndiGo Airlines flights made emergency landings in two separate incidents at Mumbai and Nagpur airports following emergency situations.
In the first incident on Wednesday morning, flight 6E51 to Singapore from Mumbai turned back and made an emergency landing after one of its passengers suffered a fatal heart attack. Surungtambunan, an elderly passenger from Indonesia, died after the flight landed again at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
The deceased was travelling with his friend Mr Wahyudi, and had boarded the flight on wheelchair. According to a statement released by the airline, the crew was alerted when Surungtambunan took a long time to come out of the restroom when Mr Wahyudi was called.
